Winter Kicks volume II - Southern Bohemia
Well, we have enjoyed nice weekend in Souther Bohemia. The weather was warm and roads free of cars, however a little bit sandy after long winter.
Main problem was Friday´s Squash in České Budějovice, legs were burning and also head was, because of some Budvar beers.
So, Saturday morning was a little bit tough. We wanted to kick 100Km, however finally we did just 90km - still enough.
We started our trip in České Budějovice heading for Hluboká nad Vltavou castle and all the way along the Moldau river using a brand new cycling path. The river had been still icy in some parts, however sun had been shining warm enough to become thirsty in a while.
Mr. Liska troubled through first 35km to Hněvkovice, where we got a first outside beer in seazon 2011 in some 20 Celsius. Another uphill to Temelím Nuclear power station was not the fastet then.
When returning, we have visited a couple of another pubs along the oposite bank of the Moldau river and at 6pm we ended our trip with sunset.
Despite of being tired, on Sunday we have kicked in better shape. We did 50km across the Southern Bohemian villages is some slow 3 hours.
